Io-Interactive and Square-Enix have come together once again to create Hitman, an episodic adventure starring Agent 47. Players can take the reins of this assassin starting today.

The first episode of the series, which comes out today, begins with the Prologue and a Paris location. The next episode, set in Italy, will release in April. This is then followed by Morocco in May. From there HITMAN will deliver regular monthly content updates, including Thailand, the United States and Japan later in 2016.

There is also the addition of live content, which begins today. These in-game contracts, dubbed “Escalation Contracts,” gradually increase in difficulty the more you play them. The next Escalation contract will make its debut on March 16. There are also “Elusive Targets” that are live for 48 hours in the game. Players will only get one chance to take these contracts out.

According to Studio Head at Io-Interactive studio head Hannes Seifert:

[testimonials user=” email=” name=” position=” photo=”]“We are doing something bold and new which has the potential to shape how we experience AAA games in the future…Hitman is back and it’s clearly the game many fans have been waiting for, so that feels pretty special. And this is just the start, now our live content begins and then in April we head to Sapienza. We have a game that will evolve, grow and improve over time and deliver the best ever Hitman experience.”[/testimonials] [infobox style=’success’ static=’1′]Source: Press Release[/infobox]
