Explore Your Wild Side With New Far Cry 4 Website

Ubisoft recently announced the launch of a brand new digital platform, “What are you made of”, an experimental website designed to test a players interactions and ability to adapt in a savage and unpredictable world in a cinematic and immersive experience that promises to whet the appetite of the many patiently awaiting the release of the highly anticipated Far Cry 4.

Players will be tasked with surviving 4 different rites of passage, each of which will be released on a weekly basis in the build up to the Far Cry 4 launch. Each rite will be composed of an interactive film in which players are given just a few seconds to make a decision to escape potentially deadly situations. Each choice has its consequence and will push players to make similar choices on a path through each rite. The 4 rites have been revealed as:

  • A deadly face-to-face encounter with « An eye for an eye »
  • An impenetrable mind maze with « Rabbit hole »
  • A hypnotic trance with « Mind Blossom »
  • A blindfolded sound chase with « Escape »

According to the press release the digital platform of “What are you made of” comprises of up to 42 million difference routes that players can potentially explore, and those wishing to do so will likely miss the launch of Far Cry 4 with an estimated 100 days required to explore all possible combinations. Upon completing each rite players’ choices are analyzed and their personality determined which in turn offers exclusive content on Ubisoft’s Uplay platform.

This interactive campaign really puts the player at the centre of the experience offering a new and more intense approach to the game and its universe”, said Guillaume Carmona, EMEA Marketing Director. “This platform will allow each fan to live a totally different experience. That’s the beauty of a game like Far Cry 4 as players can actually create their own path, just like with this website. Each decision matters and conditions the outcome.”
