FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH – THE STORY SO FAR

In our review of the PlayStation 4 version, we said that “Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not a simple retelling of the same story; it’s a complete re-imagination from the creative minds using the wonders of modern gaming technology to offer more than a simple second take.”

This release will pick up right after Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII escape from Midgar into the open world beyond the city’s walls. As players hunt for the fallen hero Sephiroth, they’ll be able to take side quests, fiend hunts, and mini-games.

Active and Classic modes will make their return, along with three difficulty settings: Easy, Normal and the new Dynamic setting.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be produced by Yoshinori Kitase and directed by Naoki Hamaguchi, Motomu Toriyama, and Tetsuya Nomura. Players will be able to continue Cloud’s journey when it comes out for the PlayStation 5 on February 29.
