Final Fantasy VII Remake and Remnant: From the Ashes Coming to PlayStation Plus in March 2021
PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to add the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Maquette, Remnant: From the Ashes, and Farpoint to their accounts in March.
One of our top games of 2020 (you can read our review here), the Final Fantasy VII Remake has players taking control of Cloud Strife as he takes the fight against Shinra. It is the first standalone game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, with the story following up to the party’s escape from Midgar. Note that the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake that is available to PlayStation Plus members is not eligible for the PlayStation 5 digital version upgrade.
Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival action shooter that features dynamically-generated worlds. Teaming up with up to two other survivors, players must contend with more than 100 enemy types. You can read our review here.
Coming to the PlayStation 5 this month is Marquette, a first-person puzzler that has been designed around a Escher-esque recursive simulation. In order to solve each puzzle, players must manipulate the landscape of a diorama.
Finally, the PlayStation VR title Farpoint will be added to the service. This free-roaming first-person shooter tasks players with mastering an arsenal of weapons to keep themselves alive in a hostile alien world.
