Final Fantasy XV to Get New Content on Second Anniversary

To mark its second year anniversary, Square-Enix has released more information regarding the content and DLC coming to Final Fantasy XV.

Set to release in March of next year, Episode Ardyn will give players the chance to play as Final Fantasy XV’s main antagonist. Events will take place before Final Fantasy XV proper, and will give players the chance to learn more about this character’s backstory.

A special anime episode, dubbed “Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn – Prologue, will also be released.

Beginning on December 12, a special Final Fantasy XIV Online collaboration event will take place that is available to all Final Fantasy XV players as a free update. An all new in-game quest titled “Adventurer from Another World,” it has Noctis embarking on a journey with the mysterious Miqo’te Y’jhimei to Perpetouss Keep. Those that complete the quest will receive special Final Fantasy XIV-themed costumes.

The previously announced DLC episodes, which were to feature the characters Aranea, Lunafreya and Noctis, will no longer be produced.
