Game Maker’s Sketchbook 2026 Selections Revealed

Featuring projects from PRAGMATA, Borderlands 4, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the selections for the 2026 Game Maker’s Sketchbook have been revealed.

Including a range of resonant visual works from video games, each chosen selection for the 2026 Game Maker’s Sketchbook highlights the imagination and craftsmanship from studios and games big and small alike.

Meggan Scavio, President of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, said the following:

“Game Maker’s Sketchbook exists to honor the incredible artists whose work defines how we experience games – the images, worlds, and visual identities that stay with players for a long time.

For our fifth year, we’re proud to spotlight the art that makes every bit of interactive entertainment so compelling.”

On that note, the 2026 Game Maker’s Sketchbook features artwork from greats like Capcom, Double Fine Productions/Xbox Game Studios, and Gearbox Software/2K.

Meggan Scavio added:

Through these prints, fans are not only celebrating extraordinary works of interactive art, but also helping support the next generation of creators who bring these worlds to life.”

Pre-orders of the prints from the 2026 Game Maker’s Sketchbook will go live on the official iam8bit store from May 28 through June 25.

Proceeds from all purchases will go to AIAS Foundation and Day of the Devs charities, thereby giving fans and players the chance to lift up developers and support future creatives.
