Brand new characters, monsters, gameplay, and more will make their way to miHoYo’s Genshin Impact as part of its version 1.2 update on December 23.

This locale pays host to a frozen mountain range south of Mondstadt, and is full of unique creatures have claimed this land. Players will be able to discover a lost ancient civilization, rare artifacts, a cornucopia of ingredients, and recipes for multiple 4-star weapons. Players best be careful though; a new Sheer Cold bar that one needs to be mindful of has also been added.

In this seasonal event, players will meet Albedo, a genius Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team of Mondstadt’s Knights of Favonius. With this character at your side, players will investigate the Festering Desire, a sword that contains a mysterious power. Players will be able to fully refine the Festering Desire and can also redeem rewards from the event shop, including the Crown of Insight.
