Genshin Impact Version 2.2 Coming October 13

The team at miHoYo announced today that version 2.2 of Genshin Impact, “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog,” will come out on October 13, 2021.

The last major island of Inazuma, Tsurumi Island will finally be open to Travelers with Version 2.2. Shrouded in dense fog, the dangerous Rifthounds and the Rifthound Whelps lurk about, waiting to launch a sneak attack. When characters are attacked by these creatures, all party members will be affected by the “Corrosion” status and continually lose HP regardless of shields.

In addition, recent research by a scholar from Sumeru tasks players with taking on investigation commissions across Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma to defeat an “Anomalous Model Ruin Grader.” Thoma, the popular “fixer” that appeared in the Inazuma storyline, will join as a new four-star playable character.

Seasonal events will also make their appearance as part of Version 2.2. In the “Labyrinth Warriors” event, players can venture into a mystic domain in Inazuma with “Childe” Tartaglia, Eleventh of the Fatui Harbingers and Liyue’s rock ‘n’ roll musician Xinyan. Meanwhile, “Tuned to the World’s Sounds” features a rhythm game with different music from Ningguang, Zhongli, Keqing, Xiao, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Kamisato Ayaka, and the Raiden Shogun.

Finally, DualSense Controller support will be available on Genshin Impact’s PC version. More features have also been added into the Serenitea Pot.
