Grand Theft Auto V Is The Most Expensive Video-Game Ever Made
A recent article on WCCFTech claims that Grand Theft Auto V is the most expensive video-game ever made. The article compares the whopping estimated budget of 265 million dollars to other popular titles in the industry such as Halo 3, Skyrim and Final Fantasy.
The outcome is shocking as Grand Theft Auto V is over double that of its closest competitor, Grand Theft Auto IV. The article also compares the upcoming Rockstar game to a number of Hollywood Blockbusters including Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean and Avengers, with yet more shocking results. For more information you can read the article here.
FIFA 14 Demo Released
This week saw the highly anticipated release for the FIFA 14 demo. One of the most eagerly anticipated FIFA titles in years, FIFA 14 promises to offer players whole new levels of realism with completely new animations and mechanics for sprinting, defending and using skills.
The response from players is positive so far, with thousands saying it’s the best FIFA they’ve ever played. In true FIFA fashion the demo is extremely limited but it’s currently available for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players. So what are you waiting for? Download it today!
EA Sports Shares Drop Following Poor Madden NFL 25 Sales
The lack of sales for EA Sports’ latest sports title, Madden NFL 25, has resulted in a drop in the price of shares for the gaming giants. EA’s shares on the NASDAQ fell 3.4%, closing at $26.76 on September 6. The reasoning behind the lack of sales is unclear although in true internet fashion, there’s no shortage of speculation.
Some claim it’s due to the Ignite game engine, in which Madden NFL 25 is one of the first games to use. Others claim it’s due to next-generation consoles being so close to launch and of course some blame it on the game being terrible. Either way, I’m sure some individuals are happy to see EA take a hit following the criticism they receive for the lack of innovation in their annual titles.
New Petition Asks Players To Support Not Releasing GTAV On PC
A new petition has appeared on Change.Org asking players to pledge their support to an individual that feels PC gamers should not get a PC version of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V. The petition states that PC players should not get Grand Theft Auto V in order to teach them a lesson following the increase in popularity for pirating PC games.
Occupying 2 spots on our hottest gaming news this week, Grand Theft Auto V continues to build steam ahead of its release next week. I don’t really think Rockstar are going to pay any attention to a petition that has amassed a staggering 4.6k signatures when it’s counterpart petition, asking Rockstar to release a PC version, has collected over 343,000 supporters.
Dishonored Game Of The Year Announced
Bethesda Softworks revealed a Dishonored Game of the Year Edition this week after an abundance of critical acclaim following the release of various DLC packs for the award-winning stealth action title. The Game of the Year Edition will include the core Dishonored game along with its various award-winning DLC’s such as Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches and Void Walker’s Arsenal.
Dishonored Game of the Year Edition will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 priced at $39.99 / 39.99 € / £ 29.99 /$69.95 AUD with PC players getting a small discount at $39.99 / 29.99 € / £24.99 / $49.95. For more information, including the contents of each DLC pack, you can visit the official Bethesda Blog.
Grand Theft Auto V Could Be Coming To PC
A new article on Cinema Blend has provided additional evidence to support claims that Rockstar will be releasing a PC version of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V. The information comes following the early leak of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 torrents for the upcoming title. Various members of the cracking and mod community dove into the complex file system and unveiled configuration files for next-gen platforms and the PC.
Whether or not we’ll get a PC release for GTAV has yet to be confirmed but the evidence supporting that fact continues to pile up. So make sure you watch this space!
It would be almost impossible to feature every single news article released this week without throwing you a 10k wall of text. So at the end of each hottest gaming news article we summarize with tidbits of information for other popular stories this week.
