Gamers Heroes Hottest Gaming News scours the globe for all of the important information about anything video games. This week in news Splinter Cell Blacklist gets confirmed for the Wii U with an exclusive trailer, Nintendo announces that it will not have as big of a presence at E3 and tons of new trailers announced for Grand Theft Auto V. A few other things happened this week including a huge Square-Enix online sale, a Resident Evil Revelations demo being announced and a few Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer details were released. Splinter Cell Blacklist Trailer for Wii U | ||
Ubisoft released a new trailer showcasing Splinter Cell Blacklist for the Wii U. As people could have already guess the Wii U GamePad is going to be used to do things like control the snake camera that is run under doors and fly a little drone around to shock baddies. Inventory and marking of characters will also be handled by the Wii U GamePad. Not much else is known about the Wii U version but we will make sure to throw in some updates. Assassin’s Creed III Redemption Trailer | ||
Assassin’s Creed III’s last piece of DLC in the Tyranny of George Washington line is out and can be purchased on all downloadable markets. Ubisoft just released a new trailer outlining some story bits from the DLC. In it you see Connar confronting George Washington himself. Featrued in the DLC is special wolf spirit powers that allow Connar to go stealth and call in wolves as assassin’s. Legend of Zelda Symphony Tour Dates & Venues Announced | ||
The Legend of Zelda Symphony will be making another trip around the country for people that want to relive their childhood video gaming memories. The performance this year is called Symphony of the Goddesses and features music from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Two new venues including Grand Rapids, MI and Baltimore have been announced for performance dates. Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins Launches for the 3DS | ||
The prequel 3DS game to Lego City: Undercover for the Wii U launched this week and is called Lego City: Undercover the Chase Begins. The game has players running around the city with Chase doing tasks as a rookie cop. You can learn back story and see how Chase got the way he is in the portable 3DS title. There is an official trailer that was posted on Nintendo’s YouTube channel if you want to see a little bit more about the game.
Nintendo Having a “Smaller Presence” at E3 | ||
For some Nintendo Fans E3 will not be what it has been in the past. In an earnings meeting Nintendo announced that it will not be rolling out the red carpet and having a huge conference the day before E3. Instead they will be focusing on smaller conferences for the distributors of Nintendo products and a the media. They may also be doing something similar to last years pre-E3 Nintendo Direct for the fans. Nintendo did want to stress that they will be at E3 and have a strong presence, but just not in the more traditional ways that they have been in the past. Look for our E3 coverage starting a day or two before the show on June 9th.
Nintendo Download Highlights | ||
This week Nintendo has a few new things added to the Virtual Console on the 3DS as well as a cool app add to the Wii U eShop. Rayman Legends has a brand new trailer that shows off a challenge mode that is free for Wii U owners. The challenge app has randomly generated levels and leaderboards to compete with your friends. The virtual console has also launch on the Wii U allowing Wii U owners to download old nes and snes games. NES titles for $4.99 and SNES titles for $7.99 On the 3DS Mega Man 4 is available now for download as well.
Lost Planet 3 Multiplayer Details | ||
Lost Planet 3 has just announced two brand new modes announced for multiplayer. Scenario and Akrid Survival. Senario Mode has two teams, one on offense and one on defense mixed with enviornmental conditions and objective based gameplay. Akrid Survival has two teams of three competing against waves of enemies before attacking each other. If your curios about Lost Planet 3’s multiplayer you should check out the brand new trailer that was released earlier this week.
Grand Theft Auto V Trailers Release Next Week | ||
The kings of hype are back at it again. This upcoming week on 4/30/13 there will be three trailers named Michael, Franklin and Trevor that will be released to the public. No particular information is quite known yet on what these three trailers are going to highlight, but it is sure to be interesting for fans of the Grad Theft Auto series. We will make sure to put the trailers up as soon as we get access to them and you will be able to look for them on our YouTube page.
Resident Evil Revelations Demo Coming | ||
Resident Evil Revelations, a game originally released on the 3DS is coming to the console market on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on May 21st. Capcom has recently announced that there will be a demo coming to the west soon on all of the platforms. The game features 4 different characters going across different areas including a thrilling bit in a mansion like boat. The gameplay on the 3DS was much more aligned with the Resident Evil series and was more thirlling than some of the more action like sequences from Resident Evil 6. Square Enix Announces Saving to Bring “May Gaming” | ||
Square-Enix has announced exclusive deals for players that would wish to download their games over digital outlets. Some of these games are on sale for as much as 75% off. Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Kingdom Hearts 3D[Dream Drop Distance] are on sale for 75% off. Final Fantasy VII is on sale for 50% off and Tomb Raider will be 25% off on their store.
