Idea Factory 2018 Press Event Recap
During their fifth annual press event yesterday in San Francisco, Idea Factory announced a number of titles that are on the horizon for both the PlayStation 4 and Steam.
Death end re;Quest
The company announced that Death end re;Quest will release for the PlayStation 4 on February 19, 2019 in North America, and February 22, 2019 in Europe.
The game stars a video game programmer named Arata Mizunashi, who discovers that their colleague Shina Ninomiya has been stuck inside of World’s Odyssey (W.O.D.). The only way out is to complete the game to unlock the perfect ending. However, this only has a success rate of 1%.
The title will feature a number of unique mechanics, including Field Bugs, the Triact System, Entering Glitch Mode, and the Knockback System. Check out the trailer below to see this battle system in action:
Death end re;Quest – Battle System Part 1 (NA)
Dragon Star Varnir
Idea Factory also announced that Dragon Star Varnir will release for the PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe during Summer 2019. The game takes place in a world where witches are cursed to give birth to dragons, and one man is tasked with hunting them. He soon finds his own fate intertwined with his former enemies.

Arc of Alchemist
The company also announced that the RPG Arc of Alchemist will come out for the PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in Summer 2019. The game features the Desert of Beginnings, along with the Great Power that is capable of saving humanity. Quinn Bravesford and her band of allies must fight against the Principality of Neuhavenin in the hopes of finding the Great Power and saving humanity.

Arc of Alchemist – Teaser Trailer (NA)
DATE A LIVE: Rio Reincarnation
Finally, the company announced the brand new adventure/visual novel DATE A LIVE: Rio Reincarnation for both the PlayStation 4 and Steam. In this game, average high school student Shido Itsuka encounters a Spirit who despairs of humanity. Shido is later told by his younger sister Kotori that he alone possesses the ability to seal the power of a Spirit. The game will feature 11 characters to choose from, and more than 150 dating events.
Note that two CG scenes were modified for the PlayStation 4 version, while the Steam version will remain unedited. Gameplay for both games has not changed from the Japanese version.
