Last week we received official word from Sony that we’ll see The Last Of Us on the PlayStation 4 this summer. It seems Gamefly has published a release date for rental and purchase of the game from their website. There is no official word from Sony, so the date isn’t 100% confirmed just yet.
The Last Of Us Remastered Release Date
Gamefly’s release date reads June 20th of 2014. This date seems about right since it’s a couple weeks after E3 and Sony released The Last Of Us last year during the end of the show (June 14th 2013). The Last Of Us Remastered features all the current DLC and will run at 1080p. If you pre-order the game you will get early access to multiplayer perks and a couple of cosmetic items to customize your characters with.
There’s still no word on whether you will be able to upgrade if you bought the game digitally on PlayStation 3, but since you’re getting all the DLC with the remastered edition I wouldn’t count on it. Summer is usually one big game drought so I’m happy to play through this again on PlayStation 4 at 1080p!
