Piranha Games announced yesterday at Mech_Con 2018 that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is now in development.

As the first dedicated single-player entry for the series in over 15 years, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will allow all would-be pilots to manage, build, and guide their own mercenary unit through a multi-year campaign. The story will take place between the Third and Fourth Succession Wars, and players can take on missions alone, with AI pilots, or with up to three others via co-op play.
