Following up on last week’s announcement of Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the first gameplay footage of the game.
Set between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of War continues the story of its predecessor Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Featuring iconic locations from the series, this open-world action RPG features a brand new cast of characters with their own stories.
The recently released 16 minute gameplay walkthrough shows off the Nemesis System and Nemesis Fortresses, which has players utilizing different strategies to conquer dynamic strongholds in order to forge their personalized Orc army. Also showcased is the ability to recruit Followers during enemy encounters using the power of the New Ring. You can view the trailer below:

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will come out for the Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10 PC (Windows Store and Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 4 Pro on August 22, 2017.
