Capcom has released a series of videos for Monster Hunter: World that show off its 14 weapon types.
In the game, players can choose from 14 different weapon types that greatly change playstyle. These weapons can be changed mid-quest, depending on what the hunt demands. Weapons like swords and blades can be utilized for cutting damage and fast paced attacks, impact weapons like hammers can dish out high damage and stun opponents, and ranged weapons like bowguns offer the ability to attack from a distance. Players are not locked into one weapon type, and can change gear mid-quest back at base camp.

Monster Hunter: World will come out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early 2018, with a PC version to follow.
