PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Closed Beta Test Schedule

Brendan Greene (aka PlayerUnknown) and Bluehole today announced the beginning of Closed Beta testing for the highly anticipated PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as today, February 24th, marks the first day in a month long testing phase ending on March 19th. The Closed Beta event for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a scheduled event, with the servers only being accessible at scheduled times and for testing specific elements of the matchmaking.

Beginning today the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds servers will be live every weekend from Friday to Sunday. Below is a list of the currently planned schedule as well as the particular settings and matchmaking elements that will be available at that time.

  • February 24-26: The first weekend will include SOLO games only, and 10% of them will have the rainy weather setting turned on.
  • March 3-5: The second weekend will focus on DUOs only with 10% the games having the rainy weather setting turned on.
  • March 10-12: The third weekend will be a mix of DUOs & SOLO games and will again feature the weather effects.
  • March 17-19: Plans for the final weekend will be announced at a later date.
