Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Competitive Play Trailer Released

Trainers the world over can see some of the competitive play elements coming to Nintendo and Game Freak’s Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with the latest video for the game.

A number of new additions will bring new tweaks to Pokémon battles. New Pokémon include the dragon/normal type, and the Shed Tail move can create a substitute that allows Pokémon to swap places with a party Pokémon in waiting. Players will also be able to change types and turn the tables with the use of Terastalllizing.

Also new to the game is the Mirror Herb item, which copies an opponent’s state and increases when consumed. Another new item to the game is the Loaded Dice, which makes multistrike moves more likely to hit more times.

Finally, the Tera Blast move allows players to change type when the user has Terastallized.
