Resident Evil 4 Remake Coming March 24

Survival is just the beginning – Capcom announced during yesterday’s State of Play that a remake of the original Resident Evil 4 will make its way to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on March 24, 2023.

This release follows the story of Leon S. Kennedy six years after his experience in Raccoon City. Recruited as an agent reporting directly to the President of the United States, he sets out to rescue the president’s recently kidnapped daughter in a European village.

This remake will feature the same essence of the original, all while using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine to modernize gameplay, reimagine its story, and create a more detailed, vivid world. For fans of the Resident Evil 2 remake (you can read our review of that here), a number of team members from that project will work on this release.
