RUMOR: New Splinter Cell Hinted at by Ubisoft Creative Director

In what may be either a leak or a joke, Ubisoft creative director Julian Gerighty‏ recently took to Twitter to mention that he is working on the next Splinter Cell game.

The Tweet, which can be seen below, mentions how he has been working on it with Dan Hay and Roman Campos Oriola in Lyon.

Ubisoft could be in on this one – a number of hashtags for other Ubisoft games have been used, and he jokingly Tweeted the following shortly after:

The last Splinter Cell game in the series was Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist in 2013.

What do you think? Will we see the return of Sam Fisher and the Splinter Cell series? Let us know in the comments.
