RUMOR: PlayStation 5 Has 664GB Usable Storage Space


According to a leaked picture, the upcoming PlayStation 5 will only have 664GB of usable storage space on the console’s SSD.

Originally posted on the ResetEra forum, a new picture of the PlayStation 5 user interface has surfaced that shows how much space the operating system and essential system files take up. With everything taken into account, users will be able to utilize 664GB for games and other media.

Note that it has been discovered that the 1TB Xbox Series X gives users 802GB of storage space after all system files are accounted for.

Set to release on November 12, the PlayStation 5 will feature a customized solid state drive that has been designed for high-speed data streaming, which will provide significant improvements in graphical performance. Included in each console is a custom-built 825 GB SSD that features a 12-channel interface, achieving a raw throughput of 5.5 GB/s.
