Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has players actively deflecting attacks with the Mortal Blade, which was done by the development team to capture the feeling of “swords clashing.” A death blow mechanic, which was inspired by Tenchu: Fatal Shadows, has also been included to give players the chance to pull off stealth kills.
