Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut Now on PlayStation 5

The team at WayForward announced today that the digital version of Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut is now available natively on the PlayStation 5.

This release serves as an enhanced version of the series’ second chapter. Players will once again take control of the Half-Genie heroine Shantae as they set out to stop Risky Boots. In their quest to save the day, they will traverse Sequin Land while gaining abilities, encountering over-the-top NPCs, defeating challenging enemies, and even brewing zombie coffee.

This release will feature DualSense features and Activity functionality. Note that owners of the PlayStation 4 digital version can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.

Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut – PlayStation 5 launch trailer

The game retails for $9.99 and is rated E10+. Future PlayStation 5 releases include River City Girls (you can read our review here), Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition (you can read our review here), and Shantae and the Seven Sirens.
