SEGA announced that Shenmue I and II will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.
Both of these games tell a story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father’s death and attempts to unravel the secrets behind the mysterious Dragon Mirror artefact. These games are set within real-time open worlds that feature day-to-night cycles and weather changes, complete with a population of civilians who follow their own schedules.
The re-release will stay true to the originals, with modernized features including fully scalable screen resolution, a choice of classic or modern control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated UI, and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers.
