So which one is better? My opinion (which is worth about a cup of coffee these days) is that Microsoft has the advantage. Between the larger quantity of games, the more recent titles, and the sheer number of games on demand, it makes opening my wallet a little wider worth it.

Which one will you be sinking your hedge fund into? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Yep, Microsoft look better.

I always end up snagging a few AAA games that I missed a year or two ago(picked up Crysis3, SouthPark: Stick of Truth and some Skyrim DLC).

A couple of years ago, I passed up on Forza Horizon when it came out, I wasn’t sure if it was worth the money on release. Then Microsoft had it on sale last year for $10 or something and I completely loved the game. It’s technically excellent, looks gorgeous and plays fantastic, there’s so much to do. Playground games have completely won me over… Forza Horzon 2 is a day one purchase for me now 🙂

    1. 8.5+ million PS4s and counting. Nothing you say will stop it, you are helpless. Stop spreading delusional lies, FUD, and hatred.

All 3 consoles have good games and have their plusses and minuses. It’s only fanboys mindlessly trashing one or the other.

It’s sad PS4 is dominating so badly that fanboy shills are left desperately wishing Sony would go bankrupt. Keep dreaming, it’s not happening.

PS4 has many great AAA games that gamers love. That’s why it’s 8.5+ million in sales and growing. Sony’s large number of well funded 1st parties will ensure PS4 has a ton of great AAA exclusives, as many or more than PS3.

1st/2nd party studios include Japan Studio, Polyphony Digital, Naughty Dog, SCE Bend, SCE San Diego, SCE Santa Monica, Sucker Punch, Pixel Opus, Evolution Studios, Guerrilla Games, Guerrilla Cambridge, SCE London, Media Molecule, Ready at Dawn, Quantic Dream, etc.

For some reason PS4 keeps selling like hotcakes despite attempts to downplay its library. All 3 consoles have good exclusive games, it’s only fanboys trying to trash one or the other and pretend it has “no gaems lolol”.

Some of the AAA PS3 2013 exclusives: Beyond Two Souls, The Last of Us, Puppeteer, God of War: Ascension
Gran Turismo 6, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (not 1st party), Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus. Expect a similar level of long term PS4 support with tons of 1st party games.

PS4/Sony exclusives Jun-Dec: The Last of Us Remastered, Driveclub, LittleBigPlanet 3, Infamous: First Light, Samurai Warriors 4, Natural Doctrine, Guilty Gear Xrd, Singstar, Resogun DLC, and lots of indies.

PS4 has 36+ AAA games from July to December 2014, or 6 per month. Most of those are multiplatform but there’s no shortage of AAA games for PS4 owners.

PS4/Sony exclusives 2015 (announced): Bloodborne, The Order, Ratchet & Clank Remastered, Uncharted 4, Let It Die, Deep Down, and lots of indies.

PS4 AAA games from July-Dec 2014: The Last of Us Remastered, Driveclub, LittleBigPlanet 3, Infamous: First Light, Samurai Warriors 4, Guilty Gear Xrd Sign, Singstar, Sniper Elite III, Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition, Madden NFL 15, Metro: Redux, Destiny, NHL 15, FIFA 15, Alien: Isolation, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K15, NBA Live 15, Battlefield: Hardline, Evolve, Just Dance 2015, The Evil Within, Assassin’s Creed Unity, WWE 2K15, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, The Crew, Far Cry 4, Lords of the Fallen, Shadow Warrior, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, The Legend of Korra, Project Cars, etc. Plus a truckload of indies.

Well reviewed PS4 games not on XB1: Final Fantasy XIV, Resogun, Transistor, MLB 14, Injustice, Trine 2: Complete Story, TowerFall Ascension, Infamous 2nd Son, Don’t Starve, flower, War Thunder, DC Universe Online, Dead Nation, KZ Shadowfall, Dynasty Warriors 8, MotoGP 14, Yakuza Isshin and other Japanese games, etc.

PS4 has the superior visuals on all console AAA multiplats, more dev support including indies, a large number of first party studios, free to play games and MMOs, and unannounced 1st party games. 3rd party AAA games will be increasingly multiplatform on both consoles.

PS4 is selling on lower price, the best visuals on console multiplats, better PR and global appeal, long term 1st party support, large number of 1st party studios, more total games and dev support including Japanese and indie devs, wider variety of games, and PS+ value.

Don’t worry PS4 will keep selling like hotcakes based on multiplats alone and bundles with Destiny and Watch Dogs. The PS4 version of Watch Dogs outsold the Xbox One version by about 2:1.

      1. Dude dont mention fanboys if your gonna make yourself out to look like one. Before you start spouting your nonsense at me I have a PS4.

          1. His comment was based on the current sale and has nothing to do with his post history

      2. Wow… so much bile and resentment. But you know I’m right… as always.
My comment focused on how much I’ve enjoyed the Microsoft sales and how much I’m looking forward to Forza Horizon2 and how fantastic and feature laden that game is looking.
I’m not sure why you felt the need to spew so much nastiness when my comment was pretty innocuous.

  2. Microsoft has some great titles but many of the PSN games I can play on my PS3/PS4 or on my Vita. All in all, MS has a lot of catching up to do on the game sales but this one is a good start.

You can’t shake a stick at a great deal, regardless of the console.

  3. So people are so desperate for fanboy fights we compare sales now. Um ok well ah all the Sony games are only 99 cents so we win. LOL I like how some of the stuff on the Micrsoft list isnt actual games but just season passes, just a little xbox bias going on in this article I guess. Listen if the xbots are so desperate for a win they actually need to try and claim a sale on games is a win for them they can have it casue they certainly arent winning in any other catagory, ha ha ha.
