Bandai Namco announced yesterday during The Game Awards that Soul Calibur VI is in development.
The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The weapons-based 1 vs 1 fighting the series is known for will make a return, with returning fan-favorite characters and new gameplay systems in place. The signature 8-Way Run movement system is back, along with the new Reversal Edge mechanic, which enables characters to clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent’s actions.
According to Bandai Namco brand manager Mark Religioso:
