SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated Gets New Multiplayer Trailer


Scope out the multiplayer mode coming to Purple Lamp Studios and THQ Nordic’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated with the latest trailer for the game.

This new horde mode supports up to two players, and can be played online or in couch co-op on the same screen. As players take on the evil Robo-Squidward, they’ll be able to conquer 26 different islands and utilize seven different characters, each with their own unique attacks.

A remake of the cult classic, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated pits SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy against the evil Plankton, who has a plan to rule Bikini Bottom with his diverse army of wacky robots. A number of characters from the cartoon will also make their appearance.

In terms of improvements, this title will feature high-end visuals, support for modern resolutions, and polished gameplay. Also included is restored content that was originally cut, including the Robo-Squidward boss fight and other elements.

The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 23, 2020. Two collectors editions for the title will come out the same day – the Shiny Edition (which will retail for $149.99) and the F.U.N. Edition (which will retail for $299.99).
