Squad Update 7.2 Now Live

Version 7.2 of Offworld Industries’ 50v50 military FPS Squad is now live, alongside a new website for the title.

New to Squad Version 7.2 are the M1128 mobile gun system and the Quad Bike, which haveboth been designed for unique strategic operations.

The M1128 is a powerful –  yet nimble – unit for supporting wheeled-vehicle and infantry attacks. Meanwhile, the Quad Bike specializes in quick and precise movement across the battlefield.

Note that the M1128 will appear with the USA Faction’s 2nd Cavalry Stryker Brigade Motorized Unit, while the quad bike can be found in the US Army and USMC Light Infantry units.

Update 7.2 also brings with it a new map- and faction-voting system to increase player agency and to aid in the cultivation of a more dynamic combat environment.

As part of this system, players will be prompted to vote at the end of each round on the following layer and faction setup their team would like to play. Votes are concluded either when the voting time is up, or when all players cast their ballot. When the layer and faction votes have both concluded, the next gameplay layer will then be loaded based on these results.

The team at Offworld Industries has also launched a new website for Squad, featuring a redesigned homepage and new resources for players, content creators, and media.
