Square Enix Backtrack On Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Pre-Order Program Following Community Outcry

Deus Ex Mankind Divided News
Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal today announced that they will be revising the previously announced Augment Your Pre-Order program for the upcoming release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided following hugely negative criticism from across the industry. Originally the team planned to provide players with a variety of unique pre-order packages with different perks and content – an attempt to embody the freedom of choice and progression that has helped fueled the franchise’s success. Sadly however it didn’t go across well as thousands took to the interwebs to share their disdain as they instead saw it as a cheap cash-in tactic with little to no value.

In an unexpected move Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal have decided to revise the entire package and create a system that “better meets the expectations of the community”.
