Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018, Splatoon 2 World Championship Tournaments Announced

Nintendo announced that the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 and Splatoon 2 World Championship Tournament will both occur in June.

On June 11-12, 2018 in Los Angeles, an invited group of players will play Super Smash Bros. in the Super Smash Bros. Invitational.

Splatoon 2 World Championship - Gamers Heroes

In addition, qualified teams will compete in Splatoon 2 in the Splatoon 2 World Championship, which will be the first world championship for Splatoon 2 after the game’s launch.

There will be a US/Canada Inkling Open 2018 qualifier before the event, which will be hosted by Battlefy. Open qualifiers for teams of four that are ages 13 and up will take place on April 21, 2018, starting at 11 am PT. Finals will take place on April 28, 2018 at 8 am PT. Participating teams will compete in Turf War during the open qualifiers, and in Ranked Battle modes during the finals. Players can learn more here.
