TAVERS: The Meow Wolf Roleplaying Game Kickstarter Live Through April 3

A collaborative, mystery-forward TTRPG from Meow Wolf and Exalted Funeral, the TAVERS Kickstarter is now live.

Designed with both veteran role players and those new to the hobby in mind, TAVERS prides itself on its open storytelling style and lightweight rules systems.

On that note, collaborative storytelling, tactile inventory management, backstory-fueled skills, goal-oriented character progress and 2d8 dice all come into play in TAVERS.

For fans of Meow Wolf, its original system was crafted specifically for exploring the strange and unknown universe of its multiple worlds.

James Stephenson, SVP, Creative Director of Emerging Media, Meow Wolf, said the following:

“We’ve always believed Meow Wolf is a universe, not just a set of locations.

TAVERS is proof of that— a way for fans everywhere to inhabit our worlds, bend our lore, and make it their own.

Across our exhibitions and beyond, we’re building something people can explore from every direction and every dimension.

And if you happen to open a portal in your living room and something weird crawls out, that’s on you.

But also, congratulations. You’re a Taver now.”

Matt Kelley, owner of Exalted Funeral, said the following:

“The game is something special.

Every choice the players make feels impactful, and drives the direction of the story. Go anywhere you dare. Make and manipulate whatever your warped mind can whip up.

Every game night can take family and friends on one surreal, unbelievable adventure after the next.

Or leave those losers behind and create even better families and friends!

Who can ask for more?”

One can pledge their support for TAVERS: The Meow Wolf Roleplaying Game via its official Kickstarter page.

Featuring a goal of $50,000, the Kickstarter will run through April 3.
