TEKKEN 8 Reina Character Trailer Released

The last launch character for Arika and Bandai Namco’s TEKKEN 8, the Purple Lightning Reina is the latest character to take the spotlight.

Reina is known for using lightning quick moves to overwhelm and take down her opponents. Surrounded by mystery, she is a student at the Mishima Polytechnical School and has an interest in Jin Kazama.

TEKKEN 8 – Reina Reveal & Gameplay Trailer

TEKKEN 8 will feature an initial roster of 32 characters and a storyline that tells of the fight between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. In addition to Reina, other new characters include Azucena and Victor Chevalier. .

Also new to TEKKEN 8 is the Heat State. This grants not only chip damage and additional move sets, but also changes move set properties like a heavy guard break. A newer juggle combo extender system has also been implemented, helping it in its new designation as a high-level e-sports game.

Note that all characters’ models have been completely remade from the ground up, taking advantage of the latest generation of hardware.

TEKKEN 8 will come out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 26.
