Tempest 4000 Coming to PS4 and Xbox One in July

Tempest 4000 - Gamers Heroes
Atari is bringing Tempest 4000 to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 17.

Developed by Jeff Minter, Tempest 4000 remains faithful to the fast-paced gameplay of the arcade original. This title adds new features (like the modes “Classic,” “Pure,” and “Survival”) and 4K resolution. Also included are global leaderboards, 100 levels, and a soundtrack inspired by early 1990s techno.

According to Todd Shallbetter, Chief Operating Officer of Atari:

[testimonials user=” email=” name=” position=” photo=”]“Much of Atari’s legacy is tied to console games, and we want to continue this tradition with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launch of Tempest 4000. The original Tempest is one of our most beloved titles, so it was only a matter of time before we brought this iconic arcade classic to modern consoles with today’s technology.”[/testimonials]
