The Biggest Announcements from Ubisoft Forward 2020


Today’s inaugural Ubisoft Forward event put the spotlight on all of Ubisoft’s upcoming releases. Catch up on the highlights with our recap of the show.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

With development spearheaded by Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla tells the epic saga of the fierce Viking raider Eivor, who has been raised on tales of battle and glory. Set against the brutal backdrop of England’s Dark Ages, its open world features raids, settlement growth, and the chance to build their power in a quest to earn a place among the gods in Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will come out on November 17, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store), UPLAY+, and Google Stadia. The title will also be released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when those consoles launch.

Far Cry 6

Ubisoft Toronto will plunge players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in the tropical paradise of Yara in Far Cry 6. An area frozen in time, President Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito, Better Call Saul) wishes to restore his country to its former glory, all while grooming his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez, Coco) to follow in his footsteps.

Along the way, players will experience the chaos and adrenaline of guerrilla combat as they get swept up in a revolutionary movement to take down a tyrant.

Far Cry 6 will come out on February 18, 2021 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google Stadia, the PC (via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store), and UPLAY+.

Watch Dogs: Legion

Created by Ubisoft Toronto with a next-gen concept, Watch Dogs: Legion introduces “Play as Anyone” that gives players the entirety of London to choose for their roster of resistance members. As a member of DedSec, players will go toe-to-toe against criminal opportunists, including mercenaries, sadists, cybercriminals, and more. Along the way, players will have to take down these opportunists, liberate London, and uncover the grand mystery behind Zero-Day.

Watch Dogs: Legion will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (via Epic Games Store and Uplay), Google Stadia, and UPLAY+. The game will also launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when those consoles launch.

Brawlhalla

The epic free-to-play platform fighting game Brawlhalla will make its way to mobile devices on August 6, 2020. Players will be able to choose from 50 unique Legends, including the newest Legend Jaeyun or even Rayman. Players can also jump into single-player and co-op modes, as well as online and local competitions with cross play at launch.

Brawlhalla can be found on the Apple App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android devices.

Hyper Scape

A F2P fast-paced urban battle royale first person shooter, Ubisoft announced today that a Hyper Scape Open Beta for all PC Players is now available worldwide. Included is Crown Rush Solo (a 100-player free-for-all version of its main Battle Royale mode), and the three-player squad mode Crown Rush Squad. Hack Runner Squad and Turbo Mode Squad will also be included for a limited time.

Designed by Ubisoft Montreal, Hyper Scape takes place in 2054, where up to 100 Contenders descend upon Neo-Arcadia to take part in fast-paced and action-packed matches to be crowned champion.

Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad

A free-to-play mobile RPG that features characters from Tom Clancy‘s universe, Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad will be released for mobile devices on iOS and Android devices.

Developed by Ubisoft Owlient, this title pulls from the lore of Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division and Rainbow Six, with 70 iconic characters in all. As commander, players will lead their squad in dynamic 5×5 shooting battles and can take part in a campaign mode with an all-new storyline.

Players can now pre-register from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to get their exclusive reward when the game eventually releases worldwide.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint

A free update for all players, Title Update 2.1.0 will come to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint on July 15, 2020.

This update provides the opportunity to play with AI teammates, which will retain gameplay features and abilities present with teammates in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.

In addition, all players will be able to take part in the new live event Resistance! starting July 16, 2020. By completing the event’s missions, players will be able to have a direct impact on the presence of rebels throughout Auroa.

Might & Magic Era of Chaos

Players will be able to join Queen Catherine Ironfist on a quest to restore the Kingdom of Erathia ravaged by war in Might & Magic Era of Chaos. As players lead their troops in real-time ranged and siege battles, they will be able to outplay their opponents in fast-paced PVP duels.

Might & Magic Era of Chaos will be available for iOS and Android devices today.
