The Crown Tundra Expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield Coming October 22


The second area available in the expansion passes for Nintendo and Game Freak’s Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, discover what awaits players in The Crown Tundra with the latest video for the game.

The Crown Tundra pays host to a small, tight-knit community. A frigid area packed with jagged, snowy mountains, players will be able to dive into find legendary Pokémonthe depths of a Pokémon Den, something originally teased during Max Raid Battles.

Explore the Crown Tundra with the #PokemonSwordShield Expansion Pass!

Combining a role playing system with adventure elements, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield takes place in the Galar region. Cities and towns in this UK-style area are connected by routes, with eight Gym Challenges awaiting players.

New to this entry are cooperative raid encounters, a fully explorable open area known as the Wild Area, “Dynamaxing” and “Gigantamaxing” forms, Poké Jobs, and a camp mode.

The Crown Tundra expansion pass will launch for the Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2020. A version of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield with the expansion passes included will launch on November 6, 2020.
