The Last of Us Part II Gets Launch Trailer

Ahead of its launch on June 19 for the PlayStation 4, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog have released the official launch trailer for The Last of Us Part II.

Taking place five years after Ellie and Joel’s journey through America in The Last of Us, these two characters find themselves settled in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a group of survivors in the area that stand strong against the infected, a violent event quickly disrupts the peace that they originally sought out.

From there, Ellie sets out on a journey to find closure by any means necessary. Carrying out justice, she hunts down those that are responsible one-by-one. However, she must also contend with the devastating emotional and physical repercussions of her actions throughout her pursuit of vengeance.

To achieve her quest for revenge, players will be able to utilize fluid movement, high-intensity melee combat, and dynamic stealth mechanics. A high amount of personalization will be available to players, with crafting items, weapons, skills, and upgrades available for customized play styles.

Naughty Dog has set out to make both its world and the deadly characters of The Last of Us Part II more detailed and realistic than ever before.
