The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Sound Design Behind the Scenes Video Released

See what went into the audio and sound effects of Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre with the latest behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming multiplayer horror game.

The video, which can be seen below, features Gun President and CEO Wes Keltner, Foley FX artist Lord Kayoss, and SFX recording artist Watson Wu. These three detail the challenges that have come about from recreating the original chainsaw and attendant sound effects that originated from the 1974 film of the same name.

Featuring new footage from the game and a detailed breakdown of the work that has gone into its VFX recording, one is able to see an intimate look at their attempts to capture its source material – right down to the very last rev.
