Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Gets Operation Steel Wave

During today’s remote livestream reveal, Ubisoft has detailed the second season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 5, dubbed Operation Steel Wave.

New to Operation Steel Wave is the Operators Norwegian Attacker Ace . Ace is equipped with a throwable and stickable device known as S.E.L.M.A., which can stick to any vertical surface and slowly destroy up to three panels in succession. This gadget can also be thrown at almost any other defensive gadget, destroying it with its arms or water explosive.

Also making her debut to the game is South African Defender Melusi. This Operator comes with Banshee deployable electronic gadgets. These gadgets apply a slowing effect to any attackers within a direct line of sight. This also serves as an intel gadget, producing an identifiable sound whenever an attacker enters its range.

This update also brings with it a reimagined House map, unified MMR, an Amaru buff, the Proximity Alarm, and the addition of the Echo Elite set.
