The worlds of Nihon Falcom and NIS’ The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV will make their way to the PlayStation 5 February 16.
A direct sequel to Trails of Cold Steel II, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III was originally released back in 2017. This Japanese RPG features speedier battles and more seamless battle scenes. One can also map out additional battle commands, and the new “Brave Order” system lets players expend a new resource to build up “Brave Points” for buffs and heals.
Meanwhile, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV serves as the final entry of the Trails of Cold Steel arc. Originally released in 2018, this title features modifications to the Order and Break systems from previous entries. However, one can upgrade these abilities by finding treasure chests that lead to “trial” battles. If one gets bored with the main game, mini-games like blackjack, poker, and other puzzle games are included.
