Unicorn Overlord Josef’s Guide to Combat! Trailer Released

As part of the final stage of training, former-Holy Knight Josef talks about the different ways players can lead their forces into combat with the latest trailer for Atlus West and Vanillaware’s Unicorn Overlord.

On the battlefield, both sides act in real time. Players will be able to deploy their allies from any of their bases as they get their marching orders.

When players encounter an enemy unit, they’ll be able to select battle from the menu. Note that if there are other allied units close by, one can swap with them before entering battle. This can then be used to help an ally in distress, or alternatively switch to a better unit more suited for the situation.

Note that if either side doesn’t lose outright, the unit with the lower percentage of HP will be knocked back and forced into a waiting state. This can then be used to launch an advantageous First Strike move.
