SEGA announced that Valkyria Chronicles 4 is coming stateside to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2018.
This game is a new mainline chapter in the saga, and will have players returning to a continent ravaged by conflict. Its familiar-yet-refined tactical RPG battle system will make a return, along with its evocative watercolor-like art style.
Taking place in the year 1935 EC in the continent of Europa, Valkyria Chronicles 4 tells the tale of the Second Europan War between the Atlantic Federation and the Autocratic Eastern Imperial Alliance. The Federation is struggling to fight against the Empire’s forces, and executes the last-ditch effort known as Operation Northern Cross. This mission will have them capture the imperial capital and end the war.
Commander Claude Wallace and Squad E take the lead of this operation, and will endure harsh bone-chilling elements, waves of imperial soldiers, and the terrifying Valkyria.
