WCIA: Vote for your favorite worst company 2014
Citizens of The United States of America. The time has come again to vote for a leader to be an example to us all. To show us that greed, ego centrism and a complete lack of sympathetic behavior can still earn you several billion dollars a year. Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s time to vote ‘The Worst Company in America 2014’.
Since 2006 ‘The Consumerist’ hosts the annual contest for the worst company in America. The winner receives a golden poo trophy. The second and third place receive either a silver or bronze trophy. By the way there’s a German proverb, which roughly translates into ‘to make gold out of shit’. 2012’s and 13’s winner EA e.g. made $3.8 billion in 2013 alone. How fitting…
The ‘winners’ are determined by reader polls. It is uncertain if EA can hold the position, which they so wholeheartedly fought for, but insiders say that they will be a close contender. The third place of 2009/10 and runner-up of 2011/12 and 2013 ‘Bank of America’ will surely make things hard for EA.
Newcomer ‘Monsanto’, incredibly famous for its genetically modified crops and extensive lobby influence in the government, will have a good chance of earning this year’s golden poo, as well. With other participants, like Microsoft, Abercrombie and Fitch or American Airlines, however, no winner can be guessed for sure.
Voting will begin today, March 19. Be sure to vote or Uncle Sam will kick your sorry ass. No but seriously, vote. Where? Here. Want to see a list of all contenders? Check out the worst companies in America bracket.
