wipEout Rush Coming to Mobile

The anti-gravity racing action of the wipEout series is making its way to mobile devices with Rogue’s wipEout Rush later this year.

In this title, players will take on the role of a team manager as they make different decisions. Players will need to select the right ships, ensuring they are properly upgraded and equipped to win. Optimized for mobile, players will be able to merge anti-gravity ships to unlock new, more capable vehicles. New challenges, weapons, and upgrades can also be unlocked.

wipEout Rush – Announcement Trailer – iOS, Android

According to Matt Casamassina, chief executive officer, Rogue:

“I was raised on the console WIPEOUT™ games—and those will continue to live on PlayStation hardware—but we wanted to reinvent the breakneck speed and gorgeous presentation of the series for a new breed of players on mobile devices. We’re working closely with Amuzo and Sony Interactive Entertainment to ensure wipEout Rush delivers an experience that is both complementary and additive to the core console one, but also very accessible and fresh for gamers on the go.”

The game will come out for Android and iOS devices.
