Ys IX: Monstrum Nox Coming to PlayStation 4

Ys IX - Gamers Heroes
Falcom has announced that the next title in the Ys saga, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, will come out for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2019.

This game will take place in Baldeux’s “Prison City,” which is located in the northeast of Esterior in the Gllia Eldlingen region. The city holds a number of different mysteries, and people called “Monstrum” possess supernatural abilities.

Ys’ signature combat style, which includes free dashes, diverse skill attacks, and jumps, will make its return. New to this title are “Supernatural Actions” of Monstrum that will allow players to freely explore all areas of the field, along with “Guild Operations” in Prison City.

Here is the official story blurb:

Here is the introduction:

[testimonials user=” email=” name=” position=” photo=”]I became someone other than myself. Have you ever that kind of dream?
I think about myself in that dream. Is this me, or is this not me?
Are dreams reality, or are reality dreams? I’ve reached an awfully simple answer.
“Whichever is fine.”
Which is true—or which is not true. Both are reality.
