Ys Origin Coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020

The classic action RPG saga’s inaugural quest, Dotemu announced today that Nihon Falcom’s Ys Origin will make its way to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Ys Origin tells the tale of the aspiring knight Yunica Tovah and mage Hugo Fact, who both are desperately searching for the Goddesses that abandoned them. These two fighters must best the demonic forces lurking within an enormous tower, all before these beasts reach humanity’s sanctuary in the clouds.

Along the way, players will be able to collect a wealth of powerful loot, experience distinct scenarios and playstyles between each character, and unveil a wealth of secrets. Combat is combo focused and arcade-like, and players will also be able to take part in platforming and solve challenging puzzles.
