Crystal Dynamics and Square-Enix’s 2013 Tomb Raider reboot was generally well-accepted, selling more than 3.4 million copies in its first month of availability. A sequel was to be suspected, but recent evidence all but confirms it.
A number of recent job postings on the Crystal Dynamics page all reference the recent Tomb Raider reboot. An Environmental Artist job description states that it is looking for somebody with “3+ years’ experience in the game development industry on AAA console titles with a similar style to the latest Tomb Raider reboot.”
In addition, recent job postings for a Combat Systems Designer and a Systems Designer both state that they are looking for people “to be part of our incredibly talented Design team working on the latest in our award-winning Tomb Raider reboot in our Redwood City studio.” However, despite this being a recent posting, they state that they are looking for people to work on a game released last year.
Could this hint at another adventure for Lara Croft? Let us know in the comments.
