Crashing in this summer, Strange Scaffold and Frosty Pop’s Truck-kun Supporting Me from Another World?! is here with a chaotic, OVA-sized campaign.

See whether players should give into the buff isekai elf girl in one’s head with our review…

Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! Review

Carissa Ward has got a bright future ahead of her – or at least HAD a bright future.

A straight shooter with VP of Marketing written all over her, a truck dashes those dreams (literally), crashing into her and sending her off to an isekai anime world.

We hate when that happens.

Taking the wheel of the Driver (just named “Driver”) behind this splattery mess, players will put the pedal to the metal as they find a way to bring Carissa home.

This is where Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! truly dives into the absurd – and we’re here for it.

Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World! Review - Gamers Heroes

Tasked with bringing her back to life by Monday (she does have a corporate gig, after all), Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! lives up to its title by having players help out in their own special way.

This is then done by running through crowds and objects alike to earn XP, all while adding more time to the clock.

As players drift, boost, drift, and sideswipe throughout – and through – the tiny town of Wenvale with a minute thirty on the clock to start, they’ll also simultaneously charge up Carissa’s ultimate attack in Talinfold.

Players can scope out her pixelated progress at the bottom of the screen, filling up her Sword meter and laying on the horn when full to unleash her Ultimate Attack.

Sounds silly, yeah? It most certainly is.

Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! and its bite-sized gameplay segments provide a satisfying feedback loop that had us coming back multiple times for just “one more run.”

As players run over objects and people alike, they can also take on deliveries, bash through Armored Objects, and even outrun the fuzz with its own designated Heat meter.

The end result is a mix that pulls the best elements of classics like Crazy Taxi, Grand Theft Auto, and even Katamari Damacy as they clear the next Star Milestone.

Some objectives are admittedly easier than others, and it can be easy to get stuck in spots (watch out for those trees!), but its fast pace always means there’s no time to get bogged down. If all else fails, there’s a convenient “Unstuck” option in the pause menu.

Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?!’s zany arcade antics crash in with a satisfying feedback loop perfect for those always on the move.
