After a strong couple of months, this next month promises to deliver more long-awaited games to the masses. On that note, here are 5 games we’re looking forward to in April. Oh, and we won’t make you click through five pages to look at the entire list.
5 Games We’re Looking Forward to in April
The Silver Case
Created by SUDA 51 and localized by NIS America, The Silver Case takes place in the 24 Districts, where a series of bizarre murders occur. With roots in the visual novel side of things, gameplay revolves around text-based situations, point-and-click mechanics, and interactive questioning. We’re looking forward to experiencing this game’s two different scenarios, and diving into its rich tale.
The Silver Case will come out for the PlayStation 4 and PC on April 18, 2017.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Building on the foundation of 2014’s Mario Kart 8, Nintendo’s racer Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is set to wow gamers on the Nintendo Switch. All previous DLC and content is included, along with a revamped battle mode and some new characters. We’re looking forward to reliving this racer, which builds upon its time-tested formula.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3
Developed by CI Games, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 open world first-person tactical shooter full of different activities and side missions. Navigation has been enhanced, complete with free-running, parkour, and even rappelling. We’re looking forward to exploring its world, and playing with the game’s different loadouts.

Yooka-Laylee
Channeling the spirit of platformers of old, Yooka-Laylee was created by a number of former Rare employees. Starring the chameleon Yooka and the bat Laylee, it’s up to this dynamic duo to stop Capital B and Dr. Quack from absorbing all the world’s literature. We’re looking forward to diving into its colorful world, and also taking part in its local cooperative multiplayer.
Yooka-Laylee will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 11, 2017.
Persona 5
A title years in the making, Atlus’ stylish JRPG Persona 5 is finally coming stateside. Starring ” the Phantom Thieves of Hearts,” players will explore both story-specific dungeons and randomly-generated Memento dungeons. Similar to previous games, combat is turn-based, with new Personas gained through successful Negotiation. We’re looking forward to diving into its world, and seeing what P-Studio has planned.
