A new year means new games. Here are 5 games we’re looking forward to in January. Oh, and we won’t make you click through five pages to look at the entire list.

Final Fantasy Explorers

Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy series marches on with Final Fantasy Explorers. Newcomers to the series need not fear – this game was designed as a jumping off point for those just starting out with the series. With 12 Eidolon summons, job-oriented combat and more than five hundred pieces of equipment, this is one title you will likely play for some time. Featuring both single- and multiplayer modes, we’re looking forward to taking on quests with friends while collecting crystals from around the world.

Final Fantasy Explorers will come out for the 3DS on January 26, 2016.

Amplitude

Get ready to step back into the cockpit of the beat blaster ship, as Harmonix’s Amplitude series is back for a new generation. Expect plenty of in-house tunes from Harmonix themselves, as well as songs from Freezepop, Kodomo and even the fine folks at Insomniac Games. We’re looking forward to diving back into this rhythm-based game, chock full of new songs.

Amplitude will come out for the PlayStation 4 on January 5, 2016.

Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster

A remake of 2002’s Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster tells the tale of Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen in high definition. Rebecca and Billy can be swapped on the fly with its “partner zapping” system. which requires players to alternate between the two characters to progress onboard the Ecliptic Express. We’re looking forward to solving the game’s intricate puzzles once again.

Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster will come out for Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on January 19, 2016.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

After making the rounds on consoles, Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen is making its way to PCs. Players can choose from various vocations and take part in hack-and-slash combat with the help of the AI “Pawn” system. All of the previous content of the game will be available in this Steam version. We’re looking forward to experiencing the higher framerate of this version, which will make it an even more stunning game.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will come out for Windows on January 15, 2016.

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam

2D meets 3D in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Combining the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series, the game has you taking on both Bowser and Paper Bowser as both regular Mario and Paper Mario. While Europe has already received the game, it is time for the US to get its turn in January. We’re looking forward to exploring more of its timing-sensitive style combat, as well as the wicked sense of humor the series is known for.

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam will come out for the 3DS on January 22, 2016.
