Cosplay Wednesday — Dragon Age’s Morrigan

Dragon Age Morrigan Cosplay - Gamers Heroes
Dragon Age Morrigan Cosplay – Gamers Heroes

The Dragon Age is coming back in a big way later this year with Dragon Age: Inquisition, the first next-gen entry in the series. In honor of Morrigan’s triumphant return, Gamers Heroes takes a look at one of the finest cosplays of this Witch of the Wilds.

Laura Sánchez spent a long time crafting Morrigan’s cosplay. Lovingly dubbed “the monster of 1,000 eyelets,” Laura Sánchez spent days tightening eyelets, altering synthetic leather, and crafting more belts than you can imagine. Despite all of these intricacies, Morrigan’s dress was based on a normal skirt pattern.

Other parts of Laura Sánchez rendition of Morrigan were done in far more creative ways. Boot covers were made with masking tape and plastic wrap, while other embellishments were made of latex primed with vinyl.

As for her prop? It’s an authentic branch…one Laura Sánchez paid 90 Euros for. Hey, you can’t put a price on quality!

You can find Laura Sánchez on Facebook here, on DeviantArt here, on Twitter here, and on her official Website here.
