Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors series marches on with the recent release of Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition. The majestic Lu Bu might be hogging the spotlight yet again, but that does not mean that there aren’t a legion of other warriors to admire. In honor of these fighters, Gamers Heroes takes a look at a cosplay of Wang Yi of the Later Han Dynasty.

Hailing from Singapore, Emily “jokerofmanipulation” Fliptable shows off her custom-made cosplay of Wang Yi. The character in the game is a blood thirsty warrior who enjoys slaughtering her foes in the field, and her signature twin trishula three-spear trident and Frostbite are present and accounted for (both crafted by her friend Data-Ronin). each picture eloquently captures each pose. She had no experience with making armor up to this point, but she’s happy how it turned out. A regular at COSFEST Asia, she showed off this rendition at the 2013 version of the festival.

So why did she choose to cosplay Wang Yi? She admired Wang Yi’s constant sad and sadistic expressions, as well as the aforementioned bloody nature. Can’t argue with that logic! She hopes to do Wang Yi’s police version — stay tuned for a future Cosplay Wednesday featuring her work!

Special thanks to Int. Photography for the pictures!
